You know Rachmaninov. You know his Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. You know the marvellous sound world, blazing pyrotechnics and tremendous passion he manages to conjure on the piano. But you have never experienced the work like this before.
This summer, Hong Kong Sinfonietta is bringing the red-hot Polish saxophone phenomenon The WHOOP Group to Hong Kong for the first time. Under the baton of Music Director Emeritus Yip Wing-sie, the quartet will tackle Rachmaninov’s virtuosic and timeless masterpiece arranged for saxophones by HKS Artist Associate Anna Lo, encapsulating the lyricism and sparkle of the original work while adding a whole new dimension of sound imagination.
Music Director Emeritus/Conductor: Yip Wing-sie
Arranger: Anna Lo (HKS Artist Associate)
